Account Director – SATELLITE RADIO NYC

Our client, an award-winning marketing and promotions company, has an immediate opening for an Account Director to work on our client’s Satellite Radio account. Reporting to the Vice President of Field Marketing, the person in this position will be responsible for field operations of 50 retail kiosks nationally. The core objective will to ensure all sales objectives are met. Other responsibilities will include hiring of staff, training, developing and implementing operational process and managing interaction with the client.

Qualified candidates must have a strong background in both channel marketing and consumer electronics.

Specific responsibilities Include:

Provide strategic direction and day to day management for the client’s account

Achieve sales objectives

Ensure core business objectives and financial targets are met on monthly, quarterly and annual basis

Manage client relationships and ensure high level of customer service to clients

Maintain primary responsibility for P&L, manage profitability targets, and identify cost savings and revenue opportunities

Build and train field sales team to deliver on sales objectives

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Five to ten years of management experience in a retail environment

Knowledge of both retail operations and consumer electronics is a must

Previous experience and demonstrated success managing a large team or group

Ability to travel and work independently

Strong presentation, written and oral communications skills

Demonstrated success in achieving sales and operational results through others

Previous budget management experience including financial forecasting and measurement

Strong problem solving abilities
